Tickets selling fast for unveiling of North West green heroes
Tickets are selling fast for the prestigious awards ceremony of the Northwest Business Environment Awards 2010, which takes place on Tuesday 19 October at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.
The 2010 prize giving event will feature guest speaker Jonathon Porritt and compère Michael Taylor, editor of North West Business Insider magazine.
Jonathon is co-founder of sustainable development charity, Forum for the Future, and a former director of Friends of the Earth. He will address up to 300 guests on the importance of environmental leadership for a sustainable future in the North West, before joining a panel of experts to answer questions from the audience.
The official presentation of trophies will be followed by high tea and an opportunity to meet the winners and network with environmental and business leaders, before the ceremony closes at 6.00pm.
Shortlisting has now been completed and judging is well underway in the six award categories - environmental best practice, environmental innovation, built environment, environmental leadership, media and communications and combating climate change.
‘Exchange ideas’
ENWORKS director, Todd Holden, said: "Following last year’s sell-out event, our 2010 awards ceremony promises to be bigger and better than ever. We’ve had over 100 entries and I know that tickets have been selling quickly already.
"The awards not only showcase the achievements of North West businesses but also serve as a useful opportunity to share best practice and exchange ideas on improving environmental performance with likeminded professionals."
Tickets are priced at £32 plus VAT and there is a £1.74 booking fee if paying by card. Bookings can be made at any time, using the secure online booking form or by emailing Katie Bray at KTB Events.
