Submission tips
This is the Northwest Business Environment Awards and the judges are looking for a business approach to the environment. They want to see evidence of how your environmental practice, management, service, technology or product has benefited your business – it is worth noting that this could also include rewards for the local environment and community.
Read the criteria carefully and make sure you are entering the right award for you.
Clearly indicate how you would like your company name and/or submitted project to appear to avoid confusion at a later date.
Avoid using jargon, instead explain your business approach and success concisely.
Try to include factual evidence to support your submission and summarise the business/project's achievements.
Don't rush your application. Take the time to think through your answers and speak to your colleagues about your entry.
Get someone outside the business to look through your submission and tell you their thoughts.
Where possible, include a quote or endorsement from a customer, a member of the community or one of your stakeholders.
Photographs and illustrations can help bring your application to life.
Remember to include details of any future plans for additional improvements or developments.
