Hot Architecture won the Built Environment Award for a 'project costing less than £1 million' in 2007, for its development at Wigg Island, Runcorn.

The firm's striking visitors' centre for the Cheshire nature reserve was celebrated as a model of sustainability. It features on-site renewable energy generation from wind power.
