Best Environmental Practice

Senator International won the Best Environmental Practice Award in the 'large company' category for its major programme of waste reduction and energy efficiency.

The company's Lancashire site in Accrington was praised for creating a five-strong environmental team that had standardised systems and successfully delivered the programme to make substantial savings.

Over 35 waste streams had been identified and plastics, metals, textiles and cardboard were all being recycled.
