ENWORKS

ENWORKS is the North West’s award winning business support programme, delivering economic success and environmental excellence.

Established in 2001, ENWORKS has a dedicated central management team co-ordinating the local delivery of environmental advice, training and support to businesses across the North West.

Over the past nine years ENWORKS has worked with over 1,000 businesses each year and helping the region’s industry save more than £113 million through improved resource efficiency and environmental excellence. Additionally, ENWORKS has succeeded in safeguarding and creating over 8,551 jobs, whilst saving 807,000 tonnes of CO₂ and 4.6 million m³ of water. ENWORKS has also successfully saved 3.4 million tonnes of materials and diverted 378,000 tonnes of waste from landfill.

ENWORKS, with a vision for environmental and economic improvement and a portfolio illustrating that for every £1 of NWDA investment £13 of cost savings have been identified, is the leading authority on sustainable business practice in the North West.
