Northwest Regional Development Agency
The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) is the public body dedicated to stimulating economic growth and regeneration in England’s Northwest.
The NWDA works to maximise the region’s competitiveness and build a stronger economy by responding to both short-term challenges and longer-term opportunities. By offering innovative and sustainable business leadership to the region’s £119 billion economy and delivering real opportunities and support for the seven million people who live within the Northwest’s boundaries, the NWDA is committed to securing a competitive and healthy future for the region.
The NWDA’s economic expertise is helping to make big things happen in the Northwest and independent research has found that each £1 invested in the region averaged a return of £5.20 in economic impact.
The NWDA has a formidable track record over the last ten years, achieving £740 million cost saving for manufacturers, securing over 900 inward investment projects, creating 23,000 new businesses and creating or safeguarding 222,000 jobs.
